Original era manufacture. Late war production bayonet by Berg & Co. and bearing the scarce makers code of pyy on the ricasso and scabbard throat. Mismatched numbers but does match by maker and issue date, 44. Most of the blue finish remains on the blade with some light scattered nicks in the cutting edge and a lightly blunted point. Good amount of blue finish on the guard, pommel and relatively dent-free flashguard. The wood grips show a good color with the usual denting from service and age. The blue steel scabbard retains its throat screw and is free of dents. Very clean overall.
