Original era manufacture. An early production dagger with nickel fittings and brown finished steel body. Maker marked on the ricasso Hugo Berns, Hubeo, a maker that we have not owned before. The blade is clean, full length but shows surface scratching on both sides. The grip is sound with both emblems in place with a small crack in the wood just above the enameled SA disc. Nice old uncleaned patina to the upper and lower guard. The scabbard body retains most of its brown finish, nice old patina to the upper and lower fittings with all screws present. Ball tip dented of course.
