Original era manufacture. Early pattern example with nickel fittings and an anodized scabbard finish. The blade is quite clean with the large TIGER makers logo on the reverse. The dagger has a wonderful patina and has not been cleaned in decades. It has some issues but it is 100% honest having been recently purchased from the elderly friend of the officer who brought it home from WWII. There is a sizable chip in the grip body just below the upper guard on the obverse and another smaller chip and crack on the reverse. The scabbard ball is dented, all of the fitting screws are present and there is a dent in the reverse of the scabbard body below the upper fitting. The blade is really nice with lots of original polish and nice contrast to the motto and makers logo. Included at the time of our purchase is this rather careworn hanger. Makes a decent restoration project or enjoy it for the original relic that it is.
