Original era manufacture. Early quality dagger with nickel fittings and a clean finish to the blade surface. The reverese of the blade shows the period grind marks, however portions of the etched inscription remain visible. Sound wooden grip with both emblems intact, no cracks or chips, just normal wear. The scabbard body retains most of it's original brown painted finish with nickel throat and tip, very light denting to the ball. A well worn leather suspension strap is attached to the scabbard loop. The only flaw with the set is that the scabbard was married to the dagger. You can tell this as the fit between the scabbard throat and bottom of the lower guard fitting is not flush. A slight gap remains between the two.
