Original era manufacture. Black leather shoulder strap with cast zinc fittings with a silver finish. Dated 1944 RZM & SS proofed. Now it seems to me that they might have had something more important to attend to in 1944 than making sure leather straps had SS & RZM proofs stamped properly. However, ya just never know, these certainly look correct and old. We found this strap stuffed inside a German tornister which we purchased from a collector. We weren't even aware we purchased it until we looked inside the pack. The strap is certainly of the period and honestly, the markings do too. You be the judge.
