Original era manufacture. A standard pattern S84/98 bayonet made by Weyersberg in 1941, with an unusual Tr marking on the blade and scabbard, with a five digit serial number 13163 appearing on same. Little is known regarding this unusual marking, with some credence given to a special batch produced for the WWII German ally Romania. Satin blue finished blade with surface wear near the point, no corrosion issues. No maker or year date appearing the spine or ricasso. Dark plum bakelite grips with scattered spotting of surface corrosion mixed with blue on the guard and pommel. Matching serial number on the scabbard throat, with 41 crs makers date and proof on the reverse. Throat screw is present. Mix of blue and steel patina finish with a peppering of surface corrosion, dent on the obverse below the frog stud.
