Original period manufacture. Steinhauer & Luck mfg. zinc badge with some of the original silver finish remaining on the reverse. Late war "Vertical Crimp" hinge (See page 156-157 Vol.1, The German Panzer Assault Badge, Philippe De Bock). The catch looks as if it has had a small solder repair at the base.
