Original era publication. German WWII Silver Wound Badge award document.Issued for three wounds, 1942, 1943 and 1944. Obgefr. Konstantin Schluter Artillery Regiment 122. Document is dated March 30, 1944.During WWII Artillery Regiment 122 formed part of the 122nd Infantry Division. This division was formed in 1940, taking part in operation Barbarossa in June of 1941.During that campaign ID 122 saw combat at the following battles in 1941; Novgorod, Lake Ilmen and Mga. In early 1942 it participated in the attempted relief of the Demjansk Pocket and broke the siege of Kholm. In 1943 itparticipated in the battle of Nevel with Army Group Center, returning to Army Group North in March 1944, with a brief assignment to Finland in July. It ended the war in the Courland Pocket.
