Original era manufacture. A very nice bridle leather holster with a black finish and white top stitching. Well marked on the reverse with a waffenamt WaA414 and RB number. Storage wear only, not crushed or damaged. I did a bit of looking on the net regarding waffenamt code 414 and found several references to and photos of leather goods stamped with this code as coming from the firm of Leitz/Wetzlar. Leather scope covers, eyepiece covers for binoculars and so on. In addition several listings for Hensoldt & Sohne optics appear. Next I did a search for German RB codes, that's the long number appearing on the reverse of this holster 0/0833/0007. A site came up which listed this code as being seen on a P38 holster. It may be that Hensoldt & Leitz, two separate optical companies, obtained their leather accessories from the same yet to be named firm who used this RB code number. But why on a holster, factory error? Who knows, the holster looks fine to me.
