Original era manufacture. An emotive grouping to the memory of one young soldier killed during WWII. The grouping includes a large black & white photograph of a young Private standing next to a photographers table. Below, stitched to the matt,is aBlack Wound badge, Iron Cross 2nd Class and a silver Infantry Assault Badge. Most of the original finish remains on the black painted steel wound badge, the EK is in near new condition with most of the plating remaining on theframe. It's issue ribbon has been removed and replaced with a mourning ribbon of black silk. Lastly, a nicely toned silver Infantry Assault badge, maker marked RSS on the reverse, and has had it's mounting pin removed so it would fit in the glass frame easier. There are traces of an original penciled inscription or sentiment, written in the upper right hand margin which have been partially erased.
