Original period manufacture. This was a recent estate purchase of ours but unfortunately we have no information as the the veterans service. What we can say is that this rig has been together since 1945, we removed the bayonet from the belt so as to not put any unneeded stress, or flexing on the frog. The rig includes an eight inch chrome finish blade by Horster, very clean, just a touch of clouding to the blade surface. Stag grips with a chrome plated guard and pommel. The black painted steel scabbard is dent free and retains nearly all of its original finish, black patent leather frog and an original NCO knot in period tie. The patent leather belt is twisted and shrunken a bit from age but retains its gray wool backing material  and original dress pattern Army enlisted buckle.
