Original era manufacture. Wooden resin filled body which shows several patent marks and makers initials H.R.E.42 on its reverse. Original canvas suspension with a Ritter marked gray painted steel snaphook. The harness shows normal wear and use but no repairs. Wartime black jigger style bakelite cup. Sound canteen overall. Weak spot to the closure strap, just above the metal tip.
