Original era manufacture. Heavy olive green canvas body and pockets with tannish green trim and straps. Gray painted metal fittings throughout. Although we collectors like to designate web strapped equipment as Tropical issue, these patterns were used on all fronts by the Wehrmacht during WWII. A faint makers name and possible date can be seen under the closure flap. There are a few very small snags in the fabric body, light surface corrosion on the metal portions but overall the piece is quite presentable for display.
