Original Period Manufacture. Early production bronze alloy cross with a maker marked ring, 74, Carl Maurer & Sohn. Clean original ribbon.Purchased from the family of Private Casamento of New York, who served in the 965th Ordnance, Heavy Weapons Maintenance Company during WWII. Of interest, Private Casamento served in both the European and Pacific theaters during WWII.
