Original period manufacture. Chrome finished 10 inch blade with the Gustav Spitzer logo on the reverse ricasso. The blade is clean, no issues, and no finish loss to the surface.Chrome finished guard and pommel with no issues, and a pair of sound black plastic grips. The blade is a tad loose. Dent-free steel scabbard with a black satin paint finish, with about 90% finish remaining. The black leather frog is of interest as it represents one of the later war abbreviated examples. The stitching is sound, no dry rot, but the end of the securing tab is broken off.
