Original period manufacture. Brought home from WWII by T-3 John P. Rodrigues, Company A, 136th Maintenance Company, 14th Armored Division.Very clean, chrome finished 10 inch blade with the Rich Abr Herder name stamped deeply into the reverse ricasso. No issues to the blade, just some light scratching, and no finish loss to the surface.Chrome finished guard and pommel with a matt finish, and a pair of sound black plastic grips. The blade is not loose; red wool in the slot. The blade sticks a bit in the scabbard. Near dent-free steel scabbard with a black satin paint finish, with about 80% finish remaining, mixed with surface corrosion. The black patent leather frog is sound, but displaying typical crazing and bubbling to the surface, stitching is complete.
