Original period manufacture. Chrome finished 10 inch blade with the Herder logo stamped deeply into the reverse ricasso. The blade is clean, just some light staining, and no finish loss to the surface.Chrome finished guard and pommel with a matt finish, and a pair of sound black plastic grips. The blade is a bit loose.Near dent-free steel scabbard with a black satin paint finish, with about 90% finish remaining. The black  leather frog is sound, typical crazing to the surface, stitching is complete. It's a tight fit, blade to scabbard, so likely a married set.
