Original era manufacture. Standard pattern canister with the locking clasp. Mix of light surface corrosion and original paint to the surface of the can. Only the long  strap is present, with 2 spare lenses in the lid. Molded rubber face mask with a removable filter. The cleaning cloth retention spring is in the bottom of the canister, but no cloth. Several period numbers and lettering on the canister. Inside the spare lens box is a typewritten tag giving the name of a Waffen-SS soldier, however the 31865 number, perhaps a Feldpost number, does not line up with any SS unit. The initials W.O. match the soldiers name however. Make of it what you will, the canister is priced on it's own merits.
