Original period manufacture. A sound example of a wartime produced large bodied canteen set. Typical brown wool felt covering with a black leather suspension harness with the large hook on the reverse. No moth issues to report regarding the cover, harness leather is a bit stiff, but fine for display. I have not tried to remove the cup and would advise against it as old leather tends to be fragile. No shoulder strap, but the attaching buckles are present, and the small leather guides are pliable.
