Original era manufacture. Standard pattern messkit, as used by all branches of the Wehrmacht during WWII.Aluminum body and top with a folding steel handle, and folding steel wire bale. Traces of the original olive green paint remain, with a date of 44 on the hinge. Owners initials KW carved into the front. Original black pigskin attaching strap with an aluminum roller buckle.
