Original era manufacture. Cruise menu from the ill-fated KDF cruise ship, MV Wilhelm Gustloff. The menu was printed for her 22nd cruise, and the 3rd to Italy and is dated 1938/39. The Wilhelm Gustloff was launched in 1937 as a passenger ship for the Strength-Through-Joy program instituted by the DAF during the Third Reich era. She served with the Kriegsmarine in a variety of capacities during WWII. Her final voyage was on January 30th 1945 while transporting refugees and wounded across the Baltic Sea from the Port of Gotenhafen. She was torpedoed by the Soviet submarine S-13 and sank with nearly 9400 lives lost. The sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff is the greatest single ship disaster in maritime history.
