Original era manufacture. Brass optical base which is covered in a thick green paint. The Zeiss logo can be faintly seen through the paint on one side. Three blade like legs fold out to allow the base to stand on a flat surface. Heavy green canvas transport bag with a leather backing with belt loop. Perhaps made for export. Normal age and wear, measures 14 inches in length.
