Original era manufacture. Standard model 98/05 Butcher bayonet, unit marked on the guard, II/J.R.20.3 and on the other side a date, 1920. Spine marked Crown L 18. Bright finished blade with scattered age staining, and maker marked on the reverse ricasso. Dark steel patina to the guard and pommel with typical dings and dents to the flashguard and grips, obverse grips has a chip at top center. Dark steel patina finish to the scabbard with a few scattered surface dents.
