Original period manufacture. A clean example with a lightly service sharpened edge to the blade, with a few nicks along its length. No corrosion issues, bright metal surface to the blade. Crown W 07 stamped into the blade spine. Sound original finish to the wooden grips, displaying typical marring and bumping from service use, no cracks or chips.Sound stitching to the leather scabbard body, with metal fittings displaying a light coating of plating, Unit marked on the reverse of the throat, 178.R.3.154. Imperial proofs on the throat and chape.
