Original era manufacture. A French designed bayonet but manufactured at the Steyr Arsenal in Austria and dated 1879. The Greek government purchased a fair amount of the rifles from France with Austria providing the bayonets.The bayonet is clean, pleasingbrass patina on the pommel. Decent blue finish on the scabbard. Non matching, scarce maker.
