Item #67792 : Original period manufacture. Early war quality visor hat regulation for all ranks, 2nd Lt to General. Olive wool top with a red wool band and piping. Dark olive green silk lining with a single kanji character at center. Black leather sweatband with silk bow. Intact adjustable chinstrap with a bound leather visor, brass star at the center of the band. The reverse of the hat shows three moth bites which could be made to disappear with the application of a matching coloring of the white buckram backing material. Or, leave it as they are as part of the history of the hat, these are not visible from the front, and overall, the hat displays very nicely.
