Item #67819 : Original period manufacture. Regulation pattern 1872 kepi with an unbound visor and the bullion insignia directly embroidered into the body of the hat. Thin gold wire chinstrap secured with Staff buttons. Black patent leather bodied visor, which shows bubbling on the upper surface, and traces of old storage tissue adhering to the bottom side. Brown leather sweatband with a ribbed black cotton lining. No mothing to mention to the dark blue doeskin wool top. A nice old hat.
