Item #68141 : Original period manufacture. Dark blue wool top with a black mohair wool cap band. Gold twisted wire chinstrap secured by eagle-I buttons, one on each side. Gold bullion wire eagle directly embroidered into the front of the cap. Bound black patent leather visor, securely sewn to the body of the cap. Brown leather sweatband, sound stitching, inked name on the right side, a little blurred to my eyes, but nonetheless fairly visible. No moth damage, not crushed or out of round. Really a nice example of this fairly scarce pattern cap.
