Item #69297 : Original period manufacture. Dark blue wool top with a gold wire, direct embroidered eagle on the front. Black mohair cap band, 1902 pattern eagle buttons with a thin gold brocade, leather backed chinstrap. Black patent leather covered visor with a dark green leatherette underside. Black cotton lining, with a two inch wide brown leather sweatband. Overall the hat "sits" very well, no moth issues to report, only comments would be the top peak is pushed down slightly, the other would be the sweat band at the rear seam is loose on each side. Both are fixable. Scarce hat to find in any condition.
