Original period manufacture. Bright finished steel blade with a mottledfinish, and no nicks in the cutting edge. Dark red-brownhard rubber grips, basically sound withno chipping or cracks to the edges. Guard and pommel show an even steel patina with a touch of very light corrosion, with a long pattern locking spring. Sound black leather bodied scabbard with tight stitching, brass throat and chape, light flaking to the scabbard surface.
