Original era manufacture. Blue steel finish to the metal components, with a purplish hue to the blade. There is a cut-out in the grip to accommodate the blade in a folded position, however this bayonet was manufactured to keep the blade in a fixed position. Original finish wood grips showing typical age and wear, no damage; each side is missing one of the two securing screws. Clean original finish scabbard is dent free with no pitting. Needs a light bath, should clean up quite nicely.
