Original era manufacture. A very clean example showing a reddish tinge to the blade finish, with a blue finish to the remaining metal components. Nice wood grips in their original finish, showing light marring and bumping from storage. This example displays several features indicating that it was originally intended to be a folding bayonet. Long cut-out in the base of the grip for the blade, short blade tang with a rounded end so as to pivot easily, but with a fixed guard. Nearly all of the original finish remains, lightly sharpened edge may be arsenal done.
