Original period manufacture. Standard folding bayonet, displaying a mix of purple toned finish to the blade surface, with steel patina. For some reason, there are two V-shaped notches cut into the top and edge of the blade.Strong, blue steel finish to the guard and pommel, with just a touch of wear to the edges. Sound wooden grips with minimal wear, original finish. The lock mechanism works as it should, as does the folding mechanism.Blue steel finish to the dent free scabbard, with scattered spots of surface corrosion.
