Original era manufacture. Larger size, 2.5 inch, porcelain sake cup with a navy motif. Hand painted interior with gold lettering. A paper basic translation on the outside of the cup reads, Warship Azuma Long Destant (sic) (World) Cruise Comm. With its original box and colorful label.The IJN ship Azuma, was a French built cruiser, acquired by Japan in the late 1890's, seeing combat during the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-05. She was removed from service in 1941, heavily damaged during US air attacks in 1945, and finally scrapped in 1946.
