Original era manufacture. Cone shaped, molded, paintedand hardenedleather helmet, with a flared edge. Seamed in the rear with a lapped stitch, and afolded edge which is also stitched. At the front of the helmet is alarge red painteddisc.No liner or chinstrap remains, although the mounting points for the rudimentary padded cloth lining remain. Measures 13 inches across, and stands justunder 10 inches in height.
