Original era manufacture. An Imperial Japanese Army officers dress tunic and hat, with sash belt, and container for the removable shoulder boards. The double breasted tunic has an ornate lining with an Osaka tailors label in the collar, three rank stripes on each sleeve for Captain, and ornate gold wire embroidery on the collar. The matching rank dress hat is complete with it's proper, removable feather plume, and is lined in black silk. Red/white striped silk sash with two tassles, and a chromed steel, velvet lined storage box for the removable gold wire shoulder boards. No moth issues, all of the buttons are present, just a bit of soiling to the edges of the plume feathers, and a touch of minor wear on the gold wire edging of the collar. An extremely high quality uniform set, displaying a definite French design influence.
