Fine quality dress sword of a pattern worn by General grade officers of the Imperial Japanese ArmyThe chrome steel blade measures 31 inches in length, runs straight and true, with no issues.Elaborately decorated guard and backstrap with a silver family MON at the base of the pommel. The unique grip is made from the shell of a hawkbill turtle, and is bound with triple strand wire.Dent-free, chromed steel scabbard with a single carrying ring, displaying areas of surface lifting towards the tip.
