Original era manufacture. A Katan length sword with a blade measuring 27 inches in length, clean, with a few small nicks in its cutting edge. Numerous Kanji characters appear on the tang, likely 1930's production. Fishskin wrapped scabbard with two suspension mounts, one carrying ring is missing, shows splitting along the seam of the wrapping. Needs a guard and hilt.
