Original era manufacture. This is the first one of these we have ever offered, it being part of a large collection we have recently purchased, and frankly we really do not have too much information in our library regarding it. The physical description follows, overall length 17.75 inches, with a 12 inch chromed steel blade with a false temper line on each side. Simple S-curve brass guard with a matching material and patina, ferrule with lock mechanism, back strap and pommel cap. Polished steel steel scabbard with a double ring suspension band, having scattered areas of cleaned corrosion finish and staining to the scabbard surface. Fish skin grip with a five petaled cherry blossom on each side, with the grip bound with triple strand wire. The back strap is decorated with a floral scroll design and just below the pommel cap is an applied Police emblem. On the top of the pommel cap is an additional Police emblem but of a different design. The blade fits the scabbard as it should and the lock mechanism holds the blade securely in place.
