Original era manufacture. This medal, with a dark blue ribbon, represents donations of exceptional monetary value on the behalf of the Japanese people. Established in 1919, it is still awarded today. Fine quality silver medal with a dark blue silk ribbon. In its original case of issue, lacquered wood with a domed lid. By the patina and quality of construction we would place this as being produced during the WWII era.
