Original period manufacture. Standard Type 30 bayonet with a Kokura proof. Bright finished blade, hooked guard with a blue finished steel scabbard showing denting near the tip. The grip and pommel have been modified by having the pommel and lock removed, the blade tang extended and a new set of hand whittled wood grips installed. On one grip is carved Dog Boy USMC and on the other, SIPAN 1944. Great WWII souvenir.
