Original era manufacture. Polished steel, 30.5 inch blade running straight and true, with a serial number on the ricasso of 120635, which matches the number on the drag.Steel guard with a checkered wood grip, steel patina finish to guard, the leather finger loop is missing.All steel scabbard with a dark steel patina finish, with minor scattered denting to the surface, nothing serious. The shorter blade length Otsu model was issued to Japanese enlisted troops who did not serve in the Cavalry. The longer blade length Ko model was the Cavalry weapon.
