Original era manufacture. A rather poignant relic of the Pacific War is this Japanese standard Type 30steel helmet showing shrapnel holes and denting in it's crown. Original star at front with most of the factory paint finish remaining. Remnants of the liner remain as shown. There isa 5x12mm hole in the crown ofthe helmet in the left rear. It pierced the shell from the inside, withanother smaller interior dent visible just abovethe star from a shrapnel fragment travelling with less velocity, but no doubt still deadly if one was wearing this helmet.
