Original era manufacture. Mid-war quality Army issue enlisted field cap, one of the souvenirs of Pvt J.F.Vojtech USMC, who participated in a number of assault operations while assigned to the USMC 5th Corps. Olive wool body with a green painted pigskin chinstrap and thin sheet brass side buttons. Complete burlap lining with issue stamps, very sound tan leather sweatband. Only flaw is that the moths like the yellow wool felt on the star, only the paper backing remains.
