Original era manufacture. Issue quality hat of brown wool with a tan cheesecloth lining and brown leather sweatband. Pigskin leather chinstrap with plain brass side buttons. Small loops stitched on each side which are the attachment points for the neckskirt. Our seller stated that he purchased this hat from Japan and that the officers pattern star was on it at that time. We include an enlisted star should our buyer wish to replace it. Sound hat overall showing normal age and wear.
