Original era manufacture. Classic WWII Japanese Army issue enlisted field cap. Olive brown coarse wool bodied hat, with a brown pigskin chinstrap. There are two open stitches around the base of the hat to attach the removable neck flap, lacing in the rear for size adjustment. On the top of each side are three embroidered ventilator holes, and on the lower left edge stitched kanji lettering. Open weave, gauze-like cloth lining with faint issue stampings, sound brown leather sweatband. Simple yellow wool felt star machine sewn to the front of the cap. Size about a 7.
