Original era manufacture. An early quality hat of mustard color wool, with three embroidered ventilator holes on each side, adjustable lacing in the back. Unbroken, brown leather chinstrap secured by two plain brass buttons. Brown leather sweatband with a thin, gauze-like, cotton lining. Yellow wool felt star machine sewn to the front of the hat, with the outline of another previous insignia visible behind the star. The hat displays some minor scattered mothing, nothing terrible, and overall is quite presentable. Larger than most encountered.
