Original era manufacture. Classic "Cat's Eye" goggles as worn by Japanese Army Pilots during WWII. Maroon color aluminum frames with brown velvet face pads, kanji markings on both sides of the frame above the headstrap connector. The inside corner of the left eyepiece frame is beginning to come loose from the backing pad, all other stitching is sound. The frame screws are non-magnetic, the left side pair match each other and the eyepiece frame in a slightly faded anodized color. The right side has a matching color screw with the other being a silver color, perhaps an old replacement. The lenses as stated are clear plastic but there is a considerable amount of grime and dust on the interiors indicating a swap-out years ago. The headband is of an elasticized maroon cotton, it is not stretched out of shape but little of the elastic remains in the fabric. Brown leather end tabs with the right side tab having silver kanji.
