Original period photography. A very clear group image of 13 Japanese soldiers, with their Sergeant-Major seated at center. All are shown wearing their field caps, with the front row having their waistbelts and puttees visible. The NCO holds the hilt of his sword in his right hand.The image measures roughly 4 x 6 inches, and is housed in a black cardboard mount with a leg-prop on the reverse.
