Original period manufacture. A complete example of the standard Japanese Army helmet of WWII. Original paint, rivets, star, liner and cloth chinstrap. The exterior of the helmet shows wear especially on the left front area from moisture revealing the blue steel finish beneath. The underside of the front liner pad is dated Showa 17 (1943). Pigskin leather liner with the adjusting string intact.
